How to remove rust from an old tin?
I have a 1913 – 1916 Vintage Mechanical Tin Bank lithography. There are a few rust spots I want to withdraw, but without damaging the paint-beam lithography. Suggestions?
Talk to see several antique dealers in your area, whether the recovery is recommended. Sometimes an initial state with some mistakes worth much more than looks much better, but more original. If they say the recovery is recommended to see whether they know the experts in restoration. This is not a do-it-yourself project. If done correctly, you will all but destroy the value.
