What is a loose unprimed Canvas.?
…im talkin bout art canvas……is it jus a regular mounted canvas??
when a canvas is loose and unprimed, it just means that the canvas itself has not been stretched over the stretcher bars yet (the wooden frame thing behind it) and it also means that the canvas has not been prepared with gessoe yet. (which is a white, glue like, paint that seals the canvas fibers and makes it not so porous so that the paint wont bleed through to the other side) bassically you are looking at what looks like a loose piece of thick cloth.
