Accidentally washed a stone pan in the dishwasher. Help!?
My 11 year old daughter was asked to load the dishwasher. She (without thinking) placed my 9×9 seasoned stone pan in with the rest of the dishes. Now that it has been “washed with soap,” is there a technique to remove any soap taste? We have not cooked in it since. Can putting it in the oven on “Self Clean” get any soap residue off the pan? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
I don’t think you should have any problems with it. My fiance washed ours multiple times in the sink with soap and water without my knowledge (I found out later) and it never flavored any of our food in the least. I’d just rinse it with hot water and a fresh, clean sponge before using it again.
