There was this futuristic post was apocalyptic sci-fi movie?
There was this dude who finds this robot head in the desert and brings it home. His main squeeze is an artist and she uses the head in her artwork. At some point the head comes to life and begins to rebuild itself with parts from the girls artwork or sculpture and starts killing people. I also remember some nasty little scene where some dude gets chopped in half in the middle with a big ol metal door. I like to find this if possible.
…the part, where mentioned the big door, which crushed and chopped some guy in half, was pretty much the clincher, in identifying this movie; you are definitely thinking of the early ’90′s very grim sci-fi flick, called “Hardware”…
