I have a pie knife from the Farmers Co-op Society in Wesley Iowa.?

It has a 4 digit phone # etched in the blade.
My question is;
How long ago did Iowa have 4 digit phone #’s?
And yes, I does a great job of slicing apple pie.

As someone who deals in antiques and collectibles, I can tell you that it’s probably from the 1930′ s / 40′s. One thing’s for sure, it couldn’t have been after about 1950.
