Airplane Indianapolis

Airplane Indianapolis
Moving from Indiana to San Francisco on a low budget?

I am moving from Indianapolis to San Francisco and have ruled out moving using a rental car. Wow, expensive. Talking at least 1000 to rent it for four days. I'm thinking of using an airplane, selling everything I own but my clothes and such like Bare Essentials, seeing as my fiance lives there already and am wondering if anyone has ever done so and if its a good idea or what experiences anyone has ever done moving so far away and at extremely low budget.

I sold my furniture and big stuff. Packed my car with fragile items like my computer, tv, cat. Shipped a few boxes of clothes, shoes, small items then drove my car across the country. It's really not bad, it's nice to get rid of old junk instead and get new stuff. I would say between gas and hotels it cost me $ 500 But yea, if you do not have a car go ahead and fly and ship a few boxes. Good luck!
